I'd do apes. But if your not sure, Go with risers (alot cheaper), if that doesn't jive, Then do apes.

......the bar keep says "What do ya want, human?"(apes can talk to people like that 'cause they're mean). The guy says "give me a pair of small apes and..." The bar keep cuts in and says "You better choose your next words carefully boy". The guy continues..."and mount them on a riser". The bar keep smiles and says "now you're talkn' bro".
I meet the guy later and bought the apes and riser from him and put them on my bike. See below.

You want it to look cool or be comfortable? Apes are bad ***, but apes slanted back toward you too far are defeating the purpose of apes, you should be hanging from them. Slanting them back toward you in my opinion doesn't have a good look. Thats for you to decide. Maybe look into other handelbar styles other than buckhorn on risers ...or apes. Its all a matter of taste.
