My 2000 DWG is toast so I'm looking at buying a new 2011 or 2012. Leaning towards a Heritage Softail Custom but also interested in the Road Glide Custom. I've road both bikes and I'm not too comfortable with the TBW on the RG. But I do like the RGC !!
I would appreciate any feed back and experiences with TBW .... positive or negative.
If it malfunctions, just hit the off switch conveniently placed at your right thumb. I don't imagine you have anything to worry about, or the MOCO would already have a class action lawsuit on its hands.
Had 07 FLHTC, with conventional throttle. Now have 12 FLHTK with new throttle. After 3000 miles I cant tell the difference. Less cables on the bar is nice.
I had a 2009 heritage, now I have a 2011 RGU. I never noticed any difference in the way the bikes responded or handled that was due to the TBW. The only way the TBW has ever effected me is I had to be sure I bought the right Thundermax....
The Heritage was a prettier bike, but if you plan to do any serious riding I strongly recommend the RGC.
