You didn't break 'em during disassembly? Are they the same gauges that came out? Makes no sense that they won't plug in unless you have them reversed and you're trying to plug the speedo connector into the tach and vice versa.

No. The pins are fine. I marked each line so I know the guages are not reversed. It might be due to the cold weather up here yesterday. I'm going to try warming up the plugs and see if that helps.
