I Have the Go Pro Wide standard definition. ok video ok pics. got it when they first came out a couple years ago. I just convinced my wife I needed the new Go Pro II HD. 100 times better in all areas. I got the motorsports edition with the suction cup. Well worth the $$$$ You will not be dissapointed.
subscribed. I have the Drift 170. Right now, I velcro it to my helmet. Bought a mount for the handlebars, but there is too much vibration. May try vibranators, but would like to find an attachment for the fork or other attachment point.
I have the GoPro HD Hero. Works great. Lately I've been trying to talk myself into getting the HD Hero2. I've heard it gets better fps at better resolution, but who knows..
My future son in law has a go pro hero 2 he uses on his racing quad. I have seen the video and it is a lot better than the regular hero hd. The camera is small and has a lot of mounts that come with it.

You're not helping me back away from the HD Here2. I was hoping to hear that there wasn't much difference. Oh well, I'll pass the one I have on to someone else and get the new one..
I have all three versions of the GoPro and like them a lot but I have run into limitations. Since my other major hobby is photography, I was looking at the new Canon 5DMKIII but there are limitations with DSLR camera as well. So now I am exploring camcorders. I have borrowed a friends camcorder and will be playing with it over the next month.
For mounting I use a combination of professional camera mounts but I do use RAM mounts mostly.

I use the goprohd. Not the latest version but the one before it. I have the chest mount strap, windshield suction cup, bar/engine guard mount and also the stick on helmet mounts. Didn't trust the suction cup mount so I rigged up a safety with fishing line. Wasn't needed though because the cup holds strong.
The camera puts out great video. When in it's widest angle settings you get a fisheye effect pretty good so I use the normal setting.
Takes a bit getting used to how to turn it on and off but it gets easier the more you use it. Couldn't be happier with the video quality. My son and I used the camera on a skiing trip couple months ago and it worked great for that also.
