A friend left Friday with 12 other Harleys and a RoadStar to ride the lower 48 states in 21 days. They do this every year for the Children Miracle network down here in Columbus, GA. Lets cheer they guys on, they do a lot of good for sick kids. This ride cost them a little change not to mention it aint a site seeing trip, just hard ridin. Anyway check them out at rideformiracles.com

That's awesome - good for them! That's a lot of fun and a great cause.
Two+ states a day for three weeks is some serious riding! I wish them all guardian Angels to provide safe travel mercies, blue skies and the wind behind their backs!
Go here ( rideformiracles.com) and you can keep up with them. Last year one of the bikes didnt make it, so one of the other riders was getting a new bike when he got back just went ahead and bought one on the road so the other guy could finish the ride (pretty cool). My buddy will send me emails describing what was going on (pretty interesting read) I will post them here as I get them.
There's another thread about this with links to the news coverage, the riders' blogs, and the Spot page where you can track their progress in near-real time.
KMB - are you in Columbus? Are you going to the ride back into town on May 25? I work at a large insurance company in Columbus, and they actually encouraged all the bikers there to go down and see the Riders off on Friday. On the clock!

I work in Columbus and live just north in Harris county. Not sure about May 25 yet. You must work in the big building, if so that is one of your guys on the ride!!
