I see a lot of members here stating that they expect others to have respect. I was tought that respect is something you give to others and earn for yourself.
It is not something you can demand! Treat others as you would like to be treated. Throwing ballbearings on the road...........jeez, must have thrown the last few of his braincells out before that.
With the likelyhood that just about every cage on the road has a cell phone. You're not going to get away with tossing stuff at a car. In most states it's a felony action to do that regardless of the reason for doing it. Yeah, I know, it's annoying and dangerous to have someone just a few feet off your rear, but to put yourself at their mercy and spend big bucks for a lawyer, fines and time in the slammer? Ya gotta think it through. I have found that just a snearing look over the shoulder makes em back off to a proper distance. I don't have to follow it up with anything else. 5 minutes later, the cager will have forgotten all about ya. Don't take it as a personal affront, rather just an idiot driver who will, someday have all his karma catch up to him.
I've done that more than a few times and never had a problem. One lane road and I ride behind them at a respectful distance.
I've not thought about it before, but the "rules" I follow regarding 1% clubs are pretty much the same rules I follow for everybody.
1. Be respectful.
2. Mind my own damned business.
3. Stay out of their way (if possible).
That's it. I've never had any problems.

I move over to the right for faster moving traffic. I pull over and stop for a funeral procession. I move to a far lane and slow down to pass a LEO who is conducting a roadside traffic stop. I dont invade a pack of riders who ever they may be.
Amazing how common courtesy gets exposed with simple scenarios.

That being the key right there.
Respect is earned not just given is my belief, but coutesy is something that can be given to all.
I run into a group of bikes or cars, running tightly at 80 and better chance than not I'll just wait till they fly by and be on my way, if pechance I have to get by them, I'll do it as safely as possible.
Took a few post to figure out these two ******** were just F'ing with ya, if ya just ignored them, more power to ya, if ya explained why they shouldn't do that, more power to ya...
"I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER" - Groucho Marx
That's pretty much my motto.
As far as the OP: You know People are ******** and behave like children. Is it cool when they are on a 500+ lbs vehicle traveling over 50 mph? If anything, you should be proud of your club members. They kept it together without having an accident despite the *** clowns, or this would be a different post altogether. You are more likely to get yourself hurt trying to "deal" with someone misbehaving than you are just worrying about your own riding.
I will tell you my opinion, as it seems everyone else here has; I don't pass clubs. I don't care if they are the power club 1%ers or Granny's Gone Wild. If they are in the way, I just fall back 15 to 20 feet. If it gets bad with the rubber banding or they are way under the limit, I turn off, find another route or grab a beer. Typically these people aren't riding when I am commuting to work or otherwise in the way when I have somewhere I have to be, so why the rush?
Plainly put, whether they are rolling or gathered at a gas station, I avoid clubs and patches. I have zero desire to give some brainless prospect mouth breather the opportunity to "impress" the veteran patches to prove they have the ***** to belong to their club. The last patch I wore was on my BDU's and the last club I volunteered for wore green. There were enough idiots and violence in that one to last a lifetime.
