Man, those PennDOT people sound like a PITA. Maybe you should have waited until September or October to turn in your plate. Still, it doesn't seem fair.

My registration was up in february, they wouldn't let me renew, or else I would have kept it for sure. Still, this happened in august that I changed carriers, why couldn't they have done their stupid suspension over the winter?

I think i'm going to transfer the title to the lady or a friend and then register/insure it through them.

A sporty can be a fine touring bike with proper seat, controls, etc.
Now if you are 6'4" 300 pounds its the wrong bike.
Should you decide to go that route I would take the 94 over the 75 any day

Sue the chit out them, Really that pI$$es me orf.....

They make the Ins co's. send in letter that U canceled ins...Then the ****** Flockers should have passed along with the same bill the the new INS co's must send in comfurmation of new Policy..

Sounds to like the freaking Pol-a-tichens made up a bill so they could keep hiring freaking family's members.

I don't usually get riled up, but some of the officials leading our States are POS anymore in general and that's just my opinion...

When an Honest Hard working US citizen gets screwed by the Gov, then IMO its wrong..

My advice would be keep yours or sell it outright for cash. You don't wanna go backwards on model years especially that many years. And I hear ya on penndot, I switched insurance last month and let my old policy run out. I had the new policy pick up where the last one left off, but I still got the letter from penndot. I just had to fill out the questionnaire with a copy of my declaration page showing the date the new policy started. Got a letter back from penndot a week later saying I was good.

More GOVERNMENT MORONS punishing innocent citizens for NOTHING!!!! 6 months suspension for doing nothing wrong...sounds like the scumbag state I temporarily live in...taxachusetts. 22 months and I am out of this ****hole state and moving permanently to New Hampshire, where people still believe in freedom and minimal government horsehockey! live free or die (state of NH lic. plate tagline). Ride safe and free!
Ps I'm adding PA to Taxachusetts/california as a state I do not spend my money in, or goods, or services...

Next time that happens. When you get the letter from Penndot take it too your new insurance carrier agent. They will send a letter to Penndot to clear it up. Happened to me when I changed insurance companies, I got the letter because apparently, insurance carriers are only required to notify Penndot when insurance is cancelled not changed. Also, make sure your new insurance overlaps or starts exactly the same time that the old one expires. If there is a gap between the two you are s.o.l.

Got one for you, my Insurance Rep is based out of Mountville. A cpl years ago he and his Wife wanted to go overseas and she called PennDot on a question on their Passports, the Rep told her, as Hal was born in N. Dakota, she should not be calling them, as N.Dakota is it's own Country. Whe she tried to explain that N.D. was one of the 50 States, the young Lady got very upset.
