When are the new models announced? I make it a point not to know this stuff so I don't go out and buy a new bike. Now I think I want one...

Yup, need a water-cooled Fatboy with a Goldwing fairing.

when the 13's come out, the 12's will drop a bit in price, right?

Historically MoCo has used Sturgis as the Event to announce/showcase the new models. The annual Dealer meeting is usually in July but I think last year it was earlier in the summer. Color charts are out showing the "standard" offerings but may not show "limited" color schemes that may come later in the model year.

The big announcement for 2013 will be the Anniversary bikes. Of course the new Ultra Limited Hydroglide 1800cc watercooled touring bike will be all the craze!

Not necessarily. Most dealers I've seen don't change the showroom price. However, the dealers need to move 12's out of inventory to get the 13's, so the price might be more negotiable. My understanding is the MoCo pushes dealers to get previous year models off their floors.
