Anyone else out there fighting carpal tunnel?I have been since june and my hands quit falling asleep after wearing wrist splints to bed but I still have lost feeling in two fingers.
i had both hands operated on at the same time and did great go to a neurologist(neuro surgean) do not go to a orthopedic surgean there is a world of differance in technique/results/and recovery
I've got it in both hands,my right is the worst.I got mine from running chainsaws for a living. long rides my right hand gets the tingle feeling,if i lighten up on my grip of the throttle it isn't as bad,i tend to hold on to tight without noticing it
Not that serious yet.Seems to be getting better little by little.Had lost most feeling in both hands and they fell asleep at the drop of a hat but it does come and go somedays.
I've never had it, but my wife put up with it for years until she had the surgery done in both hands last year. Everything she did to get some relief was just putting off the inevitable. You can manage it for a while, but in the end you will be best off with surgery.
I'm pretty sure I have it in my right wrist. It falls asleep when I'm sleeping and when I'm on the computer it gets tingly and really cold. I haven't been to a doctor yet.
Got it in both hands,I love the test for it,lemme tell ya,their gonna jab a long needle into the palm of yer hand and make you do stress tests with it in. I've seen people lose strength after the operation,so I don't know. The pins and needles are a constant bitch.
I too have some early signs of it. I guess 20 years working with the hands is taking its toll. I have been told that the longer one waits the less chance that surgey will be successful. (the "showdown forum" isnt helping any!!!)
