buell pisses me off. they are awesome bikes. the design is second to none. the handling on these things is amazing, from what i am told. thing is, they can't keep up with other sport bikes. just not generating enough hp to match up with and r1, or even r6 for that matter. and the price tag is heafty. people looking for crotch rockets will look at the bike and say "the yamaha is cheaper and faster", and buy the yamaha (kaw, suz, whatever). i love my v-twin, but maybe buell should consider ditiching the harley format for their engine and look into building something that can compete. they look so different and have so much great technology built into them, they really should make a real effort at geting on the market. with that said, my next bike will be a buell, becasue it'll be plenty fast for me.
I was at bike night last night and there was an older fellow on a firebolt xb9r. I have to say he was one cool old man. Not only did he have three bikes he was adamate about having fun on a sportbike like the buell as well as his other bikes.
I personally am considering buying a xb12r in the next year. I don't care if it is slower than the jap bikes, at least I will be on something that isn't a dime a dozen out there...
