Default A Question...

Today I got back on the bike, after all but being killed last year. I made myself go thur the part of the road where I was hit and ran over. TBH, scared the crap out of me, when a cage came up on the stop sign behind me, where I was hit.

To those who have been thur the same, how long did it take to re-group and not want to punch anyone that gets close to you.

Not the same thing, but I hit a deer once in my truck. Took a couple years to be able to drive normally down any secondary highway. Always was spooked about one of those dumb things jumping out.

When I was 12, I tried to mix a Sting Ray bicycle with a '64 Chevy. As you can probably guess, I was on the bicycle ... and lost.

I woke up in the hospital 6 hours later, with a concussion and my back turned to road rash.

Soon as I got out of the hospital my Dad MADE me get back on that bike and ride it to the store I was headed to on the day I got hit.

Dad making me do that instilled a confidence in me. If you get knocked down, get back up!

Geez, I think you're already pretty far ahead of most people that could have gone through something like that...good for you my man.

I only broke my right foot when I found myself flying over a 17 yr old girl's Firebird. Step dad's BMW boxer was totaled though.
As soon as the cast set enough, I was riding my bike with no fear except for 17 yr old girls not yielding to stop signs.

We have a ton of deer around here and tbh, that is what I thought would hit me first, not a Lady thinking one pulls out from a stop sign, after only one look.

Change that to a SUV and a 20 something woman thinking ppl don't look much before they leave and I'm there

Well I was hit back in the mid 1970's and I still want to punch them out but I am older, slower and wiser now.....
