Default Headtrip helmet crash review.

I have always hated windshields on my fatboy. They just look down right gay. I rode with out a helmet for years because I could not stand the parachute effect. I found out about head trip on Hdforums and bought one of there novelty helmets. I never left home with out it again. Earlier this year i was knocked off my bike at around 50 mph and flew about 50 ft landing backwards and smashing my head on the backside and top. I was knocked unconscious and taken to the hospital. Turned out I only suffered a mild concussion. The fact that I put a non dot helmet on my head was all needed to keep me from becoming maggot food. If you ride with out a helmet lets just say I would strongly recommend buying a head trip helmet. I have not decided if I want to ride again because I feel like I paid a visit to Satan and gave him the middle finger and came back to life again. Point of the post is even a non dot helmet is better than nothing.

Good advise. I wear a full face Snell approved helmet. Even still, it's not a free ticket to survival. But it's better than nothing.

I wear a snell approved Arai 3/4 helmet. I lived through a bad bike wreck
myself. I got an 07 RKC and a broken wing patch, before I got my arm
out of the cast
