I got my verification that I am now a member of
the Ironbutt Association. I participated in this year's
Run For The Wall and rode on the Southern Route from
Odessa,Tx to Washington DC. Om my return trip back to
west Texas I documented all times, fuel stops, eating, etc.
and submitted and now am a member. I actually got qualified
on two different levels:
Saddlesore - 1000 miles in 24 hours
Buttburn - 1500 miles in 36 hours
I left Washington DC rode to Knoxville, Tn slept 6 hours and
rode from there back to Colorado City,Tx for a total of 1581
miles in 33 hours total.
RFTW was a life changing ride and to be IBA certified was the
joy for a cool ride back to the house.
Good on ya'. Butt I have no desire to try that. (error intended) My longest day was 350 on a resivoir run upstate New York. No time to stop and enjoy the view, flirt with the women or eat a decent lunch.
