I wanted a pair of zippered boots for riding and thought I'd try the Danner Duty Boots from Cabela's. These boots are gore-tex lined and fairly expensive but that's what I wanted for taking trips on the bike...lightweight, waterproof, and something I can walk in comfortably. The zippers onthe first pair were hard to work and sometimes didn't work at all unless you reefed on them. Had them send me a second pair and the zippers on them worked even harder than the first. Maybe it was just the brand or the style (side zip) but this kind of scared me away from zippered boots.
