Default boot zipper issues??

Anyone out there have problems with their riding boots that have zippers in them? My local dealer told me to avoid the HD boots with the zippers, due to them breaking in a short period of time. They said the zipper doesn't break but the zipper assembly starts separating from the boot itself. Any insite past my dealer would be appreciated.

Good question, I to am interested in zippered boots, seems at my late age I can either tie my boots or breath, but can't do both at the same time

I have two pair of HD zippered boots. Have had no problem with either. One is outside zippered and the other inside zippered. I prefer the inside zippered. Easier to get to!!

I have a pair of HD zippered boots. They are 2 years old and in good condition. I have never had any problems with the zippers. Very comfortable boots also.

Problem is sometimes the zipper starts dropping down by itself, better boots have a flap with a snap across the top where the zipper begins.Bates boots have them,so do Corcorans

I have used my Willie G zippered boots for 5 years now and no problems, but, they were expensive. I would look other that a dealership next time.

I've got outside-zipper HD boots. Only complaint is the zipper tends to wander a little and unzip slightly, never to the point of making the boot fall off or even become loose, just about no more than a quarter of the way down. Not really a big deal, more slightly annoying than anything else, but that's about it. I would like a pair that don't lace up or have the laces start further up the shoe; the little HD metal tag on the front loop of the laces at the bottom rubs against the shifter and ends up sawing away at the lace on the left boot. Might need to replace the laces soon because of that. Heck, might just take off the tags altogether. The boots have plenty of HD "bling" on 'em with the metal side emblem, metal toe plate and plates on the outsides of the heel. Metal detector's worst nightmare.
