I have a 92 Heritage with Accel Ignition module. I parked the bike after a 633 mile trip and the next day it wouldn't turn over. I rebuilt the selenoid and turns over fine but now wont start. No spark to the plugs. I installed new plugs, wires and coil. Still no spark to plugs. Anyone have any suggestions on testing the ignition module under the seat?
Crank and no start..
I had an '87 FXSTC that had an ignition module go bad and back then they were mounted upside down under the oil tank!
If the bike quits running, the best way to determine if it is the ignition module is to find a way to rapidly cool it down (ice bag, areosol spray, etc) to see if it will re-start.
You could also (kinda risky though) use a hair dryer (up to a normal high temperature---100 or so) on the module to see if that makes the bike quit running.
Just recently, my 2000 Ultra would sometimes quit running and sometimes it would crank but not start.
Turned out to be the "kill switch" had a mind of it's own.
Testing in this case would require a multi-tester or a test light.

Has the bike got points or electronics? Check the timing hasnt gone off.

Sounds like you created a problem trying to fix another problem (solenoid).
Make sure all wires are connected correctly.
Make sure battery is charged and in good condition.
Make sure all grounds are connected.
Make sure no fuses are blown.
Are you getting power to the coil?
I have a crank trigger and is in time. I do have power to the coil, battery is charged and in good shape. I hope that the selenoid issue was just a coincidence. I didn't think about checking kill switch to see if its working properly. I know if it is off my bike wont turn over. about 2 months ago the same problem occurred and I jiggled wires coming out of the module and bike started, problem never occured until now.
I will check the kill switch.
