my buddy recently built the top end on a 93 fxr he now has fire blowing out the exhaust from the front jug, tested the plugs and coil alls good he found that the stater was shot replaced that charging problem solved but still blowing flames i suggested to do a compression test to see if there's a valve sticking and to check the timing still waiting for his results anyone have any other ideas thx

Sry to yank your chain. Couldnt resist. Take a coupla deep breaths and some of the experts here will set ya right.
So some real simple thinking here boys , if you see fire coming from something why would you start fucing with the ignition and electrical parts first ? they are working or there wouldn't be any fire in the first place .
Next big light bulb moment for you rocket scientists should be if you see fire either the gasket is gone or clamp isn't on ?
And here's another though blown head gasket , does it make a whistling noise ?
