Default fire from my front jug

my buddy recently built the top end on a 93 fxr he now has fire blowing out the exhaust from the front jug, tested the plugs and coil alls good he found that the stater was shot replaced that charging problem solved but still blowing flames i suggested to do a compression test to see if there's a valve sticking and to check the timing still waiting for his results anyone have any other ideas thx

Did he remember to install the exhaust gasket in the head before re-installing the exhaust system?

Exhaust valve sticking open, so it's blowing out on ignition.

So some real simple thinking here boys , if you see fire coming from something why would you start fucing with the ignition and electrical parts first ? they are working or there wouldn't be any fire in the first place .

Next big light bulb moment for you rocket scientists should be if you see fire either the gasket is gone or clamp isn't on ?

And here's another though blown head gasket , does it make a whistling noise ?

Possibly reversed the exhaust and intake pushrods on rebuild.

Not sure of the cause, but fire out of the exhaust pipe is pretty damn righteous!!

My old BSA Lightning usta do that, back in the day. Set my little teeny-bopper GF's bell bottoms on fire once. Man, that was bikish as hell!
