I just returned from Colorado after riding it two weeks. There is sooo much to see. Pikes peak and independence pass are must dos. I was planning on one week Colorado and one week Wyoming but got carried away and never made it north. You will love it. At elevation temperatures were in the 50s. We also got " spit" on multiple times. No fire problems whatsoever.

Was up in the Dillon/Breckingridge area over the week of the 4th of July. Great weather, fires no problems (to me!). Much to see, much to ride, a Must Do for any rider! Here is Independence Pass.

Rode Pikes Peak a couple weeks ago. It'll take your breath away (literally - it's hard to breath a 14,000+ feet). Also went to Royal Gorge. Stayed in the Cripple Creek area. Good ridin' and if you like to gamble, Cripple Creek has quite a few casinos.

Check out Steve Farson's book titled, The Complete Guide to Motorcycling Colorado: The Definitive Reference for ALL the Best Roads, Rides, and Tips.

By the way, the fires are all gone. Let's hope for good!

Million dollar highway from Ouray to Silverton/ Durango shouldn't be missed. Lizard Head Pass into Telluride is also an excellent ride. Both are in the very Southwest part of the state.

Fires are not a problem any longer...come out and see us, and don't forget to waive as you come through town.
