ACF 50 is the answer to all rust questions where paint isn't. That stuff is beyond fantastic, and it's way cheaper in the States than here!

Seein' that Dickey here's a smooth talkin' charmer who doesnt have the OP's interests at heart, allow me to step in and offer the princely sum of $1100. My mum always said I had a soft heart.

I even run the local chapter of Riders Raiding Rust and our mission is to help out those as distressed as the OP, by what we call is the O'balm-er Package.

You should be okay as long as it's the bolts that are rusting. Nobody wants rusty nuts though....

How bad is that,I had to paint it with rust preventative

This is why people who think it doesn't hurt to leave your bike out doors are fooling themselves. Rust and corrosion creep in everywhere and often you never see it until you pull something apart and there's corrosion and rust everywhere.

If you live in the Farnborough in Hampshire your biggest problem is the same as mine. It's called "location, location, location. We live near the sea. With a wind predominantly coming in from the South the's a lot of salt air blowing in and we all know what salt does to our bikes.
