Default First Ride to Work

Rode to work for the first time today.

Today was a good day.

Nobody tried to kill me.

I've been riding to work for 8 years and I've never had any serious problem. Just be careful.

Riding to work is the only reason I have to want to go into work.

Amen brother, and the ride home is even better. Especially on a Friday!

I spent more than 15 years riding back and forth to work (year round in NC)... Got a lot of flak from my fellow workers but the ride home after work always had me totally relaxed by the time I got home. I remember one cold December night at 11PM, I was just getting off the 2nd shift when a young 21 year old was coming on duty to relieve me. He made the remark that I must be crazy to ride a motorcycle (28 degrees that nite) when I didn't "have" to. His hobby was sky diving. I reminded him of what I thought of his "hobby" and he never said anything negative about my riding again. That was back in 1988 when I was only 47. I'm 71 now and retired but still ride the bike to most places I go, bad back and all.

rhlhamlet - And a FINE ride that is. Good on you.

One of the sigs on here goes something like - You don't quit ridin' cuz you get old, you get old cuz you quit ridin'.
