Ran over a "road gator" on the way to work early this morning while still dark, the tread remnant popped the spring off the kickstand and left it dangling, luckily that was the only damage. I always carry some bungee cords so I strapped it up and continued on to work.
Went over to Ft Hood Harley and lunch and they took care of it right away, no service order or paperwork, the tech just grabbed a tool and popped it back on and I was out of there. No muss, no fuss. This is what I think we all kind of expect from our Dealers and it was nice to get that kind of treatment.
Great to hear that! There other dealer horny toad in temple has the best customer service I've ever received
Didn't know Horny Toad and Fort Hood Harley were commonly owned. My experience with FHH has been good, but Horny Toad has been one of the two worst dealers I have ever seen for customer service. (The other one got closed down by Harley, several years ago.) I have been in the Horny Toad showroom 4 or 5 times and have never been asked what I wanted, in fact, I was never even greeted. All the employees were just sitting around shooting the bull, every time. Had to go back to the service department just to get someone up in parts to sell me some oil and a filter. Haven't been there in over a year. I will give them another try some day. Maybe somebody lit a fire under them.

if you need parts, talk to jon in the parts dept. he is the parts manager. in fact, if you email him the part number, he will email you back with a price quote. thats where i've been buying most of my parts via internet since before zanottis closed. and he's always beat zanotti's price. and definitely their shipping.
