If you used a credit card you could have the charges reversed. Then call the dealer back and tell them sons of bitches that if you had the *****, you'd tea bag them!
I would be pi##ed too. You would expect them to at least be able to pack and ship something, or at least act responsible for their failures. Seems like a lot on this thread just don't get it, and I'm sure they don't collect anything at all.

Hold on a minute - a TRUE collector wouldn't have forgotten to get them at the dealership. I mean, that's why collectors go to different dealerships, right?
That being said and no offense, but... I want OP's life for one day - where my biggest problem/gripe is about losing 6 bucks.

So, if I take $600.00 from you only $6 at a time, you'd have no problem with that eh? With a financial attitude like that, I'm not surprised that you have much bigger issues to worry about.
It's the principal of the matter. Merchandise paid for and not received due to someone's incompetence at the HD dealer. Then the dealer basically says "tuff luck". Not good business! Not good PR! All over an item that might have cost the dealer $2.00 max.

i agree with you... the principal of the matter is what counts... if you let them get away with something as little as a pin for 6.00 then eventally they will start taking you for more and more, just because the initial principal was not learned or inforced they will think they can get away with it... just like noise pollution laws... soon if you can't hear the wind blowing as you go by you will be put in jail cause your bike is to loud...
