BAD regulators ??

2005 classic w/40,000 and gone through 5 regulators...what gives?
HD says they don't have this problem---need help, warinty runs out soon.[:@]

madjack maybe you did not understand you have a problem, not HD. I think in most states you would qualify for relief under the lemon law.
Being that the same repair was made three times and continues to fail.

Are you taking it back to the same dealer? Might be time to try another one.

What has the dealer told you the problem is? If all they're doing is replacing regulators, and they've gone through 5 of 'em, they're not even trying to fix the problem.

Have you contacted HD customer service to see if they can do anything?

Need more info!

Have an 05 Ultra - went through one regulator. They also said the connection (sort of under the right floor board) was bad as well. Just guessing, I bet you have some other problem than the regulator.

yep...your dealer is too lazy to find the reason it burns regs...go to another one

I wouldnt lay this in dealers lap unless its something else taking reg out.These things are subjected to the worse conditions for an electrical unit,Heat ,water,vibration.owner abuse.Some ompans such as accel use to offer better warrantys on these,still may.Have your charging system checked first.
