Sometimes they sell for MSRP, but then offer other incentives like instore credits, discounts, etc. Since the touring bikes are popular, dealers really don't need to discount to sell it. If they need to discount, maybe there is a reason why. Keep in mind withing 30-40 days, the selling season will start to kick in...so why toss $1000 out the window.
To me there is more to it than price. I am fortunate that Ifound a dealer that has a top notch service, honest people and familty owned.
Good luck with what ever you do

It's just not that easy to walk into severl dealers...In KC they are all owned by the same family...the ones I have been contacting are 30 to 700 miles from me...just a little more then a quick trip down to the dealer. On each request I have included my phone #, all were told I would respond to the first one accepting my offer by a 10k wire transfer within 24 hours....still no takers, and I have been into 11 dealers that are within 150 miles of me....still no takers...my best go is msrp with the local dealer I guess....just wanted to see if UNDER msrp was really true.....Have purchased several new bikes over the last 40 years....still never seen one go under msrp in my area...not saying is dosent exist.....but I am from Missouri,,,you know, the Show Me State
