Default Deuce VS Heritage

Hey all. I'm currently riding an anniversary edition deuce and have an opportunity to trade into a heritage anniversary. Same color scheme - gun metal blue with tan trim. I'm torn in this decision! I love and appreciate the wind in my face and mean looks of the deuce. BUT...my wife and I are venturing out further and further on our trips and feel that the heritage will be easier on both of us. I did ride the FLSTC and find it rides completely different from my deuce-like riding on air! Any thoughts? Thanks all !

My thoughts? You rode them both, what do you want to do? I know what I like.

Like many, the look and feel of the deuce has me addicted! But, eventually, I do want a more comfortable riding bike. I like the feeling of the semi rigid ride of the deuce but also appreciate the comfort in the heritage. Please, share your thoughts / preference. (Besides the obvious)

I went from a Deuce to a RKC and have never looked back once.

I rode an '05 Deuce 86k plus miles and loved it period. My Bro-in-law has a Heritage and it absolutley does not have a good lean angle if you like to ride the twisties. I ride an '11 RGU with 26k miles and wouldn't have anything else.

My wife can't ride with me, but if she could I probably would opt for the Heritage especially if I were doing long rides & overnighters. For just me, my Deuce is perfect, great looks IMO, good clearance for twisties which I love to ride. I would do what your gut & common sense tells you to do.

Any chance of keeping the deuce and still getting the heritage?

I'm just asking because I don't know what is the differance
between the two except for the front and rear fenders
and the front ends? what about keeping your deuce and
putting a fat boy front end on it?

Thanks all for the input. Good to get feedback from the family! I believe I'm just about sold on the heritage. Although I'm in love with my deuce, I know my wife will thank me for days to come once her backside hits the heritage! Riding is something we both enjoy and she told me that in a few years, I get the Harley of my choice and she'll take the heritage! Oh the sacrifices we make to keep our ladies happy!! Thanks again!
