yea thats why i was goin to try the nightrider product. CHEAP. maybe a tuner later on. anybody know anything bout the vance and hines fuelpak? heres ya some !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????? and ******* lmao
V&H Fuek Pak's have a reputation of reliability issues on certain bikes. Does not seem to be a pattern of which model. They are "unable to tune it" happens too often. I would call FuelMoto and discuss options with them, they gaurentee to get it right, and followup after the sale.
ok first off, i have a 2012 street glide. i recently put on a set of factory headers with a gutted cat. no problems at hight rpm but alot of spit and sputter at low rpm (1800 to 2500) at cruising speeds in 5th/6th gear. So i went to my local harley dealer and got a stage 1 se air cleaner and download. it took care of most of it but it still has minor sputtering in low rpm. it acts like its starving for fuel. Any suggestions plz???????????????? I was thinking about trying the nightrider fl-vied-10 to see if that would take care of it. Advice anyone????????????//
Sure seems strange. If all you did was gut the CAT that should not have caused the problem you have. As others have said double check for exhaust leaks. Also check your 02 sensors again for damage and connections. You've got something else going on and throwing a tuner at it is not the answer at this point.
I gutted the headpipe and added nightrider fl-vied-10's to my bike. With the stock CVO mufflers it ran sputter free after gutting the CAT. Then I added the nightrider devices to try to reduce the heat a little.
Just my .02 worth, but the HD download is useless. Dyno tuning on a near stock bike is almost as useless, and depends upon the expertise of the tuner, which, sadly, is rare. I run a catless header with no 02 sensors, SE A/C, and a Power Commander from Fuel Moto with their recommended map. The set-up has run flawlessly since day one, with much less heat, and 43-46 mpg. Also run American Custom mufflers with some extra holes in the baffles.
I put on a gutted header (Fuel Moto) with no downloads or drama. I would look for air leaks into the header upstream of the O2 sensors and check to make sure the sensors are in the right place, swapping the sensors can cause trouble. The header is marked B and G I think and the connectors are black/gray, check that out.

Cruising in 5th or 6th at 1800, 2000, 2200 rpms is not a good thing. A tuner won't help you there. Drop down gears at those RPM's.
