Just had a 25000 mile service-348.00 Now i know if you cant afford it, do it yourself or don't buy one. But is this an average cost? To be fair he sold me a set of used Rush slipons for 50 and put them on for free and checked several other items I had asked about, And they were great people. I am confident my bike is in great shape to take to Fayetteville next month. 348.00 is that average?
Sounds about right. On my '07 a fuel filter change is recommended and if that was included along with all the other stuff you got a pretty good deal. Throw in the slip-ons for $50 including installation and they did you right.

You have a nice looking ride.
Thank you. I love this damn thing, should have bought one sooner. I did have the fuel filter done. This was an Indy in a small town with a hug costomer base that followed him when he left the dealership and went out on his own. I kinda wanted to do it right since I don't know how the previous owner treated it. Great people to work with, Big Bore Cycles in Burlingame KS.
I would suggest getting a service manual and looking at DYI vids on youtube and doing the things you feel comfortable with yourself. You can take it in for items you aren't confident about and will save some $$$ on future services.

I was thinking along those lines That would leave me more money for the expensive stuff.
Price vary's at different miles.. somewhere U'll need the neck bearings adjusted, That alone is time consuming on a touring bike.
More $$ if U need a new Air filter, battery, or if U have spokes like I do, then they need checked and tightened every 10-15K.
Also syn oils of course will be more also..
so it just pends on what U need/have done.
the most I've spent back in 08 and 09 when I had the dealer do the 1-5-10-and 15k services was $248.oo.
On the 10K and 15k I did the oils and filter before taking her in and it was $168.oo on both of those two.
Now I do most myself and our local INDY does my brakes and tires.
That amt sounds right. If I am not mistaken, the cost is pretty much a set amount with minimal variance.
In addition, when THEY do it, u know it is done correctly and probabl completely. U paid gd $ for it so paying that amt is worth it knowing it is done right.
My opinion.

Unfortunately, there are many examples to the contrary. If you have any skills at all, you're better of doing it yourself if you have the time. No one loves your bike like you do.
To the OP - get some miles on that thing and enjoy! Sounds like the previous owner never let her out of the corral.
