Titanium throug airport security is fine. I have more titanium in my spine than brains in my head.

Glad to hear you can still ride, I salute you for not giving up!
I like to joke that I can set off a metal detector at 50 paces.

I have a load of plates, screws and a bone graft from a bike accident 14 years ago, airports are no issue.

I'm 66 years old - riding 50 years - "NEVER BEEN DOWN" - reading post like this makes me think maybe i should hang it up - I have tried twice in the past but I just wasn't ready - I'm not ready now but i would think the odds are stacked against me - I have other toyz (BMW Roadster & CJ5 Jeep) but when something has been a passion all your life it's difficult. At my age if i should go down - it's going to hurt & the healing process would be painful & slow. It's just hell to get old!

Actually, the way I look at it, the odds are stacked in your favor- if you've been riding 50 years and never been down, you must be doing something right.

I am 60 years old and I went down one time back in 1970, not my fault but it was lay it down or end up in the back of a car that locked up his breaks. This was back in the day when So. Cal cops and Bikers were at war, and reg. citizens thought they would join the side of the cops and help them out. We were getting pulled over or targets for cars and even couple times bullets flying by. Damn I don't really miss those days. But we still had alot of fun rides. Sundays were the best, meet at our house, 30 40 bikes, police would show up and try to write tickets for anything. Open bottles, parking in the driveway, to large of crowd. The make up the rules as they saw fit.
