We now have 6 dealerships in Puget Sound Washington, and I was thinking the same thing especially after hearing Harley outsold Honda for the first time last year. When will it ever end?

Could you imagine the freakish Twilight-Zone world in which any blue collared Joe could own a Harley, not just the well to do (The "average" annual income is still less than $25k annually, that means tens of millions of households with less than 20).

Oh, I remember quite a few years back when a buddy wanted a black fatboy, had it on order for months. The dealer called him and said to come down and check out your new bike!
The only problem was, I believe it was blue. He told them it was not what he ordered.
They told him if he didn't take it, the next person on the list gets the call and my buddy goes back to the end of the line. He didn't get it.
Boy how times change, I wish they would cut back production again.

I wanted a black RK classic and found this bike at 3 dealers. Two were willing to deal and the other said no deal, MSRP plus setup. This dealer was in my backyard so I traveled 35 miles and saved a bunch of bucks off the bike plus discounts on the accessories. The dealer in my backyard says he won't discount no matter what as that is how the Harley business is. Sorry he didn't get my business.

Don't wait too long. When that John Travolta movie comes out March 2, you'll probably see another "fad" take off and raise prices in response. But then you'll see prices drop again when they lose interest.
