Recommend renting a bike or two that you are interested in for a full weekend. The dealership I bought my Ultra from put the rental cost towards the purchase of my new bike. It allowed me to make sure it is what I really wanted before dropping the cash. I assume most dealerships would work this kind of deal with you if they knew they would sell a bike.

Congrats on the 48, I think it's a cool looking bike. Ride safe. Even if you move up to another bike you have what you want right now.

Congrats on thinking for yourself and getting what speaks to you! That's what I did and I took a lotta **** for it (Duracell bike, etc.) but I'm still happy with my decision and still riding the same more than 4 years later. All that matters is that YOU are happy. Your money, your decision.

If you want to lose weight and get healthy, the bike you buy will need to get it's "go power" from YOU.

I'm 6'1" and weigh 260. When I finished riding a friends 1200 Sporty, he told me I looked like a gorilla sitting on a grapefruit. Hence, bought a Fatboy and love it.
