It's generally considered poor form to create your own MC. When you do, you're basically saying that no MC in the area is good enough for you, or that you don't want to go through the prospecting period and you just want patches. If you have to ask about this stuff, then you aren't ready to create an MC. An RC seems more your speed.
Now I live in an "Active Adult Community" AKA Geezerville. And here I was thinking about starting a club. Of course, it would be called the Grey Geezer's. I thought a patch of Rip Van Winkle would be cool. But I'm retired so designing a patch like that would be too much work for my system.
And our drug of choice would be Viagra, followed by Ben-Gay after a ride.
Come and think of it whether the HA approved or not a bottom rocker stating "Winchester, VA." would be cool because then we could find our way home when we forgot. I guess there is something to this club business.
Now the truth is I won't even wear a H-D tee shirt. My bike says Harley on it and thats all that matters to me. The guy's patching up jackets and vests to look like something scary really just have to get out and wear out a couple of sets of tires first.
Because when you count your mileage by the hundreds of thousands you just don't give a rip anymore. And the funny thing is, even the outlaw clubs recognize this.
I work in Newmarket and do deliveries in the area. I always see a MC called the Swordsmen around there. Usually at the bar St. Louis on leslie street. Never talked to them though, Seem like the high and mighty kind of guys.
im new to the scene but im already planning to join the "Combat Veterans Association"

Welcome Home Brother, and welcome to the CVMA. I've been a member 5 years and think it's a great group of men and women. If you have any questions PM me. Hope to see you at an event. And remember, while we are not an MC, We Earned our patches.
