My Dads Spirit Rides With Me...(pics)
Well, my Mom was going through some stuff that had been stored for over 20 years that belonged to my Dad. It was too painful for her even after all these years. He passed away in 1984, when I was 15. He was an avid motorcyclist and rode nothing but Harley Davidson. We often talked bikes. I would bait him andtell him Harley would one day go watercooled. He'd blow his top and get pissed at me...lol.His last bike was a early 60's DuoGlide. I am unsure of the year, but have lots of photos I want to scan and download of him through the years on his bikes. One day i'll identify them.

Anyways, my mother said she had a few things for me from the "old" days. My wife brought them home for me and in a box were these winter riding gloves thatI remember as a little kid of 10 or 11and would put them on and pretend I was riding my Dads Harley...lol. Im close to 40 now...lol
Anyways, a little history. I'l put these in my saddlebags and wear them when it gets cold.

Thats awesome.
My dad never rode.
I often wish he had.
Knowing him and his love of machinery, he would have rode a Hog.

my Dad loved to ride Back 93 when I moved to Dallas I sold my dad 2 of my bikes for $1.00
and when he passed 2 years ago and wewent down for his viewing there was a pic of him on one of my Bikes sitting on his casket from 2000 on a new bike I had purchased that year !

Great story.
My wifes father passed years before I married her and I never had a chance to meet him. He rode Harleys, played drums and taught his daughters to love the Lord and live well. I would have really liked to have met him.
Although, he may not have liked me as much as I think I'd like him..
My own dad? Motorcycle accident as a kid when he was riding behind his brother pretty much took care of his motorcycle cravings..
