Matching Vivid Black

I'm reviving this thread to see if there are any more opinions out there. I have one bag lid (vivid black) that I have tried rubbing compounds etc etc and still have scuff marks from a set of keys that I left hanging from my belt loop. I realize that the proper thing to do would be bringing it in to a shop and I might end up doing that anyway if it ends up looking like sh*t. My question is "Has anyone had decent results using a black automotive paint that approximates the vivid black"?

If the scratches are too deep to buff out, you need to sand them out, scuff up the clear on the entire lid, and shoot a couple coats of clear on it.
