Default Engine swap

I have a 2005 CVO Fatboy with a weak bottom end that has over 50K miles on it. I have a 2010 SE 110 B motor that only has 5K on it but of course the transmissions are different as far as the mating at the primary but I'm wondering if I can put a 2008 6 speed in the frame to mate up to the late model engine using a complete late model primary set up.

I watching this because I thought the difference in the frames would prevent this engine swap.

These are Softail frames, they haven't changed. As long as you have a 6 spd vs the original 5 spd it should match up.

Research is telling me that the 2010 engine & 08 transmission will bolt into the 05 frame & requires the 07 & later softail primary drive & starter

Why do you think the bottom end is weak?
