Default Veteran's Day deals?
My local dealer is having a Military/Police/Fire type function this weekend. Part of the event is advertised as "Special purchase plans" for active duty folks.

Anyone have any experience with this? What does a "Special purchase plan" entail and just how special is it?

I'm planning on buying a bike in March but if I can get some kind of super deal I might just move up the timetable.

Thoughts? Experiences?

No, but I live pretty far away and work nights, so I don't get out much.

If you're guard or reserve, find a deployment opportunity and buy through the exchange. The discount's not that big, but you can also make the money to pay for it.

Call them. I doubt anyone on here is going to give you any info on some particular promotion that a dealer is offering.

Usually any kind of rally or bike week would be the best time to get a good deal because all the dealerships are just trying to move motorcyles.

Turns out their special purchase plan is 3% off MSRP. They said that's the same discount that's offered through AAFES.

3% is not much of a discount at all. Being in Alaska seems it would limit your options for shopping around different dealers. Good luck. Hope you get what you want.
