AZ don't mean warm all the time. I woke up to 17 degrees F. this morning and will more likely than not get colder than that. Those temps normally don't last for more than a few weeks though and we get minimal snow. Nothing like where you are.
Went for a ride a couple hour ago and got to try out my $15.00 Craigslist electric gloves. Never used any kind of heated gear before and gotta say, it was nice to be able to feel my fingers for a change.
Looking forward to seeing your bike when you get all the mods finished. Just make sure it don't go up in smoke like your last one did. That really sucked.
Your bike is gonna' be bitchin' Bro. We gotta see it when you are done.
My own winter plans are not as ambitious as yours, I'm adding the Vivid Black painted inner fairing, chrome front brake calipers, stainless braided clutch and brake lines, and 12" Apes. Hopefully in the spring a really out there kind of "industrial grunge" custome paint job.

ya when im done everything will do a post up on it with lots of pics. most "ambitious" part of my build is the cam upgrade and LED headlight upgrade as thats $$$$$ i aitn got at the moment, rest of it is just modding parts i already have on hand or sending parts to my buddy for him to powder coat for me. as i have plenty of free time when the kids are at school or asleep to break otu the tools and customize.

Got two tires that need to be replaced and a tranny leak to fix on my 4 speed evo.

Most of my time will be spent on a package deal my son purchased. Two xs 650 Yamahas 76,78 both barn baskets with rust, acorns, pine needles, cob webs, more rust and straw but have paper. He doesn't have anything near a complete bike between them.
Same mods I had this time last year that I never got around to due to not putting the bike up. These mods don't even cost me anything. Internal wire my handlebars and install the stainless brake cables I bought a year ago.
I might also go for chrome clutch and master cylinder handlebar units. My black original master cylinder is ate up with brake fluid and the brake lever is a tad sticky at times. Good excuse to go chrome.
