why don't harley wake up and change things, who ever thought of putting the cat. converter in the head pipe next to the brake switch and the sh-t for wheel bearing, fairing brackets that crack, voltage regs. that don't last a week, comp.sprockets that don't last, cranks that twist, bad bearings in trans, even back in the 8o's when they changed cam bearings in the evo's.they had good designs and then *** with them. thanks for letting me get that off of my chest.
I have a 1999 Ford 3/4 ton pickup. I bought it new and the thing has had more recalls than I can remember. It is still a great truck and runs like a champ. No one complains about how unreliable thier Fords are. My bikes are just fine in my opinion, and will be even if they have as many recalls as my old Ford.
Victory's dont do anything for me. Also, ther is no excusses for a $20K bike to have cheap parts. Just my 2 cents. I have 2 ford pick ups I bought new. 1 has 260K mi and the other has 370K mi. with no engine rebuilds. You cant knock Ford to me.
Gosh all that bad stuff you think is so horrible and you bought one anyway. You must have recieved all the bad parts I didn't get because my wheel bearings have held up, my voltage reg hasn't been replaced, my crank hasn't twisted, etc. I don't know why they put all the bad parts in your bike, but I'm glad they did. Looks like they found a worthy owner for that bike. I think you should find a better made make of bike, and buy it.
Quit cryin' like a little bitch and go to engineering school. Then you can go to work for the ****,er,I mean,MoCo,and save the rest of the world from all that crap that Harley puts on their scoots. Or,like others who think ugly is cool, get a Victory or some Limey piece of crap and flame on.
Gee whiz, shucks, HD is trying. Golly, remember the gas cap recall? Maybe ya all was to busy changing cam tensioners out of your own pocket. Victory's ugly? Ever take a look at a V-Rod, Road Glide/Fairing, X bones? Now there are some ugly bikes!
I started with my '03 Deuce (still have it) no issues, added an '04 1200 Custom, (still have it) no issues.
Added a '99 Road King, no issues, super smooth ride. Thought I had to have a new '09 Road King when they came out. Lot's of Issues!
Got rid of that and got my '03 E Glide Classic. No issues, and all is right with my riding world.
I don't plan on changing up anymore, I'm done.
My opinion is it's only going to get worse, but people are trading them in more often now, and HD knows it. Just sayin'.
