Default Stone Lake bibs or Fox Creek overpants?

Looking to purchase either Stone Lake leather bibs or Fox Creek leather overpants for cold weather riding on a Super Glide w/no windshield - which do you suggest? Thank you.

Niether.....I've used a set of Cabela "Extreame Colt Weather" insulated gortex "Bibs" for 7 years now.

They are "Split legged" w/ zippered and velcro'd legs about 2/3's the way up the legs and have a elastic curtain at the bottom of the cuff to keep the wind out.

With good boots and socks, they're good well below freezing! and, because they are insulated w/ "3M Thinsulate", they are still "packable" in a saddlebag. And, water tight like a frogs butt!

Hope this helps.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Unless you're wearing Depends adult diapers under them, I'd just go with the less gay assless chaps. They also cost less.

I have had the stone lake bibs for a couple of years. Quality product with full zip. Significant warmth and easy over clothes. Love them for the commute. Just pull over work clothes. Great for long tours too.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I have FirstGear Kwik-Dry Sport Tour Overpants. Got them on close-out from motorcyclegear.com. They only have them in size 30 for $100!

What do you consider cold weather, and what type of riding (how many miles, what speeds, how often)? Your other clothing? Overpants may be a little easier taking on and off. If you are a big guy I'd probably recommend the bibs.
Either one could be a good choice but only you know how you are going to use them.
