Well you have his name and address, ever thought of writing him a letter and asking him to reply? Seems like a logical step.

Probably misspelled, should be LACEY, WA -- I've driven thru there, south of Seattle, near Olympia. Try Google maps...

What could you possibly have to say to a previous owner? It's not like there are hidden parts on the bike that you don't know about. Personally, I'd think it was kinda creepy if some guy tracked me down and out of the blue just started asking me questions about a vehicle that I used to own.

Ride the bike and enjoy it and don't worry about its history or stalking the previous owner. If you have questions, ask the dealer that you bought it from.

It's kind of hard to see motor mods, cams, headwork, engine bore and stroke doing a basic walkaround.Whats wrong with contacting a prior owner? If he doesnt want to talk he will just say F'off.

Good Luck Puppy.

If you owned a second hand bike you'd understand wanting to talk to the original owner to see if there was anymore information to know about the bike you just bought.

I can understand. It could bring to light some upgrades that aren't visable, or some issue the bike had to watch out for. Could even make you want to sell it right away before you sink any money into it.

Who really knows? Could be the owner returned it as a "lemon" and it's being resold.

I had that situation with a brand new car that was a lemon. I felt real bad when the car company took it back and I heard it went to auction for some unsuspecting person to buy the problem car all over again. I would have been happy to tell them the problem or warn them of the issues involved. But, maybe that's just me.

If it was mine I would be curious to see what mods it might have, especially if there's a tuner that's not an obvious piggyback. And in a worse case scenario, it could have been in an accident or flood.
