Probably something simple. I would think that this could be considered a safety issue and should fall under the lemon law. However it is fixable if you had a dealer that knew a little more then just reading codes and changing parts. However it will take time. I would consider first time into shop as number one and it should not take weeks. You need to start taking notes and making calls as to what is going on. When you get it back and if does it again, take it back and and start making calls again including Harley Davidson in your owners manual. Be cool and nice or get someone who can be? HA.. I bet the second or third time they will replace everything on it controlling idle. Its probably just a bad connection from a bent pin. With these, there is no real thing as a lemon. Just sorry mechanics. But after the third time they should take it back. Just my opinion. You post seem to be talking about two different things? Is the valve issue something from the past?

This seems really frustrating. I had a strange case like this with a car and it ended up being a known recall issue. Have you made sure to check all the recalls? Probably past that, but I had a car at a dealer for a week unresolved and only uncovered the concern myself online.
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
Maybe time for a new stealer. Any good tech. should have looked at the IAC and the TPS right off the bat. Along with looking it to the tank components.
And they called you a liar. Because no codes !!!!
Just a thought **** they pulled the engine Correct??? maybe some dim wit at the dealer screwed up [ dirty, loose ] electrical connection.
Best of luck
Where is the Video
Yes I was actually HOPING it
was somebody's simple screw-up to put my mind at ease about having a friday bike (Or female haha)
FWIW I had the small 3 wire ground behind the tank was loose and caused a few weird problems. These 3 grounds are for the sensors and because these sensors function with 3 volts the ground is crucial.

Yes, Valve problem lead to noise, and engine re-build after about 3500 miles (last year) bike was new Sept. 2011. Stalling never happened till a bit later. Dropped my bike once because of it (softly while pulling out) Me and bike were OK but I thought if that happened a few seconds later I would have been in front of 60 MPH traffic. And this is the second time in for this, told them when I dropped it off for last free dealer service.
That's when they first said without a code they don'tknow what to do.
Have you by chance changed the bars and had to splice in some wire?
No. Bike is bone stock -partly because it's under 5 year dealer warranty. I don't baby it but I don't beat on it either. And I sure want to get this stuff worked out long before the warranty runs off. I vote for the re-build wiring error. Took the bike on many out of state rides before the re-build, never a problem.
