I went out for a niice ride this afternoon. 52 degrees and sunny! Was out for a couple of hours and only saw one other rider! I think that people must be starting their Christmas shopping!
The weather is supposed to be warmer tomorrow and on Monday.
I rode yesterday. Coming back home down the Dulles Access Highway at 5 pm, I was treated to the most beautiful sunset. The sky behind me was dark blue, but the sky in front was purple, red and orange where the sun hit the clouds with a shimmering cream color in between. It definitely made it worth the frozen fingertips from my commute to work that I had to put up with for the first hour of work yesterday.
Surprisingly, I saw three bikes out on the road before noon today. All of them were the touring models with the full fairings. I was so jealous, since I was stuck in the cage with The Missus and The Kid in tow.
I tried to take the kid out today, but he was bouncing around on the back of the bike. No matter how much I yelled at him to keep his *** still, he just wouldn't stop so I had to turn the bike around and head home early. I think it was still too cold for him, that's why he was being so active on the back.
hopefully we'll get out tomorrow for a while. i've been letting the bike sit for the past month or so due to rut season, hunting season and the install of new rubber.
