For those of you from out of town, it also needs to be noted that there will be ongoing construction that will hinder some of your travel. Two main areas will be what we call the Zoo Interchange. Why? Be cause the Zoo literally sits adjacent to the interchange. If you look on Google earth etc it's where 94 East/West intersect with 45 North.South. This is a multi- year project that at the busy times of day will make travel quite frankly a mess.
The other is I43 North/South in the area of Holt Ave is also a mess right now. Plan on delays and look for alternate routes. As they say, there are two seasons in WI. The winter season and the construction season.
Is it true that Elton John is going to be at the Washington County Fair park every night?
I have not heard that rumor. We are staying there for the 110th, and nothing on their website. Lynard Skynard was there for the 105th, and it was packed!
House of Harley is a great place, the entire area is clean and seems to be biker friendly.
Anyone know of the hotels that are still available in August?
House of Harley (62nd & Layton), Hal's Harley (Moorland Rd in New Berlin), and Milwaukee Harley (113th & Silver Spring) were fun to hang out for the 105th.
Hotels - check this thread as peeps have been posting some up, but your best bet is to google and see what you come up with as they have been filling up.
