This actually happened to me. At 60 mph ,on the interstate, the left riser bolt broke off. This allowed the handle bars to pivot without moving the trees/forks. I was in a long sweeper when this happened. I slowly rolled off the throttle. At the same time I reached down and grabbed the top of the left fork tube. I done shifted without using the clutch, slowing onto the shoulder, with the rear brake. At about 2-3mph, I hit the kill switch and put my feet down. It was a bit unnerving.

You could make money in this silly club as a tutor for their entrance exam.

so this is my answer:

lucky for me I drive a bike with a bat wing and can steer by grabbing the mirrors/fairing and using the rear brake to stop.

so all you guys with road glides, not ONLY are they FUGLY, they are not functional should your handlebars snap off or come lose

oh yeah I also agree with the "**** my pants" answers

Was the second question - "Would you participate in a snipe hunt?".

Find another group to ride with because they evidently have trouble maintaining their bikes properly.

That's awesome. A new reason why not to get a RG.
- Can't see around corners at night because the light doesn't turn with the bars
- Can't steer if the handle bars break off on the highway.

Stand up on the seat, like Indian Larry, and shout, "Look Maw, no hands."
