I bought on winter special 20% off. Yes kinda pricey, but this is made specific for the motorcycle rider in mind. Waterproof, hardnend interior components, screen clarity even in sunlight, touch screen made for gloves, mp3 player, weather/traffic and comes with vehicle(car) mount in the same box. You can buy it from GARMIN directly, but won't come preloaded with dealer locations, and no discount. It's not inexpensive, but does what I paid for it to do.
You could use an off the shelf Garmin Nuvi 40 for $119 with our Cyclone Custom Console. Otherwise a cell phone works great too. Just another option to think about before blowing so much on a Garmin and then hanging it on the handlebars.
