There is a black plastic round nut on the back of the choke assembly Snug it down a tad, but do not over do it as the plastic friction nut could break if you tighten it too much.
Thanks a lot finally got a 50 degree day so I think oi am goin to ride out and pick one up I would have done this a long time ago if I had realized they are only 15 dolles at the local harley shop
I installed a new one and never could get the friction nut to hold it last year. Same thing with the one it replaced. I finally figured out that it wasn't that difficult to pull it out. Pull the clutch in[which I do everytime to unload the transmission from the starter---since it is winter I don't care to discuss how much difference it makes], hit the starter button. The bike lights up since I have gave it the two full twist of the throttle before hitting the starter button. I then ease the clutch back out since the bike was in neutral. I reach down and fully pull out the enricher and patiently wait for the bike to warm up enough to idle at 1000 rpm's unassisted. EFI on the other bike takes all the fun out of it. I have a set starting procedure for everything I drive---. I remember kickstarting and the start up procedure for each bike which was different. The bikes have quirks and so do the riders.
