Default Watch for Wildlife!

Today was an unusually warm day in west Tennessee and weather was very nice for a December ride. While I was crusin along on a two lane country highway...out darts a deer. I just had time to reach for the brake! My front wheel just graised the rear of the deer. I only felt a slight bump on the bike. I was going about 50 mph and if i was going just a little faster or the deer was a little slower...I shutter to think of what may have happened. Everyone please be careful.

That could have ended very badly for you; glad your ok. I responded to an accident where a rider hit a moose. Completely gutted the moose as the rider and bike went under its belly. The rider didnt survive and neither did his bike or the moose. Hitting an animal, especially a big one is just as bad as hitting any vehicle for sure and they seem to come out of no where.

Glad it wasn't your time.

Sucks about the guy and the moose. People don't have any idea how big a moose is until you have to share a booth at a restaurant with one.
