Got a Drag Speciality Charger/Tender with a quick disconnect. Takes the battery to a full charge and then powers down to a maintain level. About $24.95

I'm considering getting one for the really cold months but should I unhook the battery cables from the bike, to protect all that electrical stuff my bike has? It's a 2013 Blackline FXS.

I have 5 of these out in my shop and 1 in the garage with never a problem. I do use a power strip on the ones for the bikes and turn the power off before unplugging the pigtail.
The others are hooked to toys and vehicles that don't get used as much.

I've got Battery Tender and the Yusua models; both work well.

I've tried 2 of the Deltran Battery Tender International as I needed it for 220V as I'm overseas. They are both bricks now. I thought the first one was a fluke dud, but when the second one died I've given up on them and have gone to the CTEK MXS 5. A little more expensive, but according to some other guys I spoke to they say it's the best.
