I have a new respect and appreciation for what you guys go through up North. I'm spoiled in Texas with year round riding. It's been a pain in the rear the past two months between weather and a repair I had done....Bottom line: I don't know how you all stand it couped up all winter while your bikes are just waiting for you.
I guess it makes it that much more special when you take the first ride of the year...so before I get all misty eyed, here's to a quick, painless winter and I hope you all are able to get out there soon!
DAWG_6, Thanks for the kind words. Yeah it kinda sucks waiting for the weather to break, but all I'm waiting for is for the temp to just go above freezing. I can handle cold riding, but have not yet mastered the technique of sliding an 850 pound bagger over ice. Enjoy your more temporate climes down Texas way and ride safe.
Thanks for the kind words DAWG6.Don't feel too bad for us up here.Riding is not our only hobby. We have some wintertime activities to keep us occupied. We're not couped up at all.At least I'm not.We like to snowboard. We're still riding quads in the mountains once a month. We rent a nice cabin on the lake for a weekend, get drunk and go ice fishing. We'll thaw out soon enough and yes,the ridewill bethat much sweeter!Enjoy your good weather bro and ride safe!
dawg Date 2/4/2007 6:16:57 PM Well it's about time someone showed me some respect
I'm with you.
The season still gives us a chance to enjoy other things such as those mentioned by freekdawg and a chance to get some of the things mentioned in the forum done without worrying about losing riding time. Here's an example:
My bike out in the garage right now
I'm in no rush to get it done I've got another month minimum. It's minus 10 outside right now. [:@]
