Default Bluetooth Receiver - play music on your bike

I purchased a small Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the aux jack on the stereo so I can send music to it from my phone - works great and it was cheap. I used a small piece of Velcro to attach it. There are a ton of these available from different manufactures -this is the one I used:

Here are pictures:

Why don't you just plug the headphone jack from your phone into the aux port on the radio?

The sound quality is awesome. If you plug the phone in you need it to be mounted on the bike, this way I can just keep it in my pocket. I use it in my car too.

Looks like you would be able to charge the device by running a cable over to the cigarette lighter. Is that possible?

I just bought a iPhone 4 and plugged it into the bikes radio with a double male cable. Plays very good. I have a HD magnet base pouch to put it in on the tank and will answer the phone with my Scala Rider bluetooth headset.

I put a radio in my Electra glide and it's ok for use around town.
I use a bluetooth adapter for my earbuds and put the Ipod in the tourpak when I'm on the road.
No flying wires to contend with and the bluetooth adapter controls the ipod.

This is exactly what I'm looking for. Has anyone come across one that plugs directly in w/o a wire so no Velcro is needed? I found one but didn't have great reviews.
