Have both. The gravitys provide a better seal on the shape of my face. So they are must for 70mph+. However, the wind jackets have much superior optics and are very comfortable. I have them in polarized and clear anti fog lenses. The gravity I only have in dark tint, I don't think they make transitional lenses for the gravitys yet. But I do have another pair of wileys with transition lenses and they don't get dark enough to suit my liking, they do work though.

You can get the gravity for about 80 bucks or less on cheaper than dirt. And the windjackets you can get on eBay for a good deal, especially if you buy a pair without the gasket and strap, those parts are only 25 bucks together from Oakley. I got my pair for 60 on eBay POLARIZED, then bought the clear anti fog lenses and the strap and gasket for 60. 120 and I have polarized ones, and anti fog lenses.

How do you clean the gasket then if it is superglued in place? Mine gets really nasty after about a month.

I wish I had read this forum before I paid $144 for the Wylie X Gravity that nearly cost me my life. For some reason, perhaps the shape of my head, these glasses that NEVER transition, not even once in the 90 days I have owned them, focus sunlight directly onto my retina. In bright sunlight, I am practically blinded with them on. So, I take them off and since I ride a Softail Deluxe (no bags) I either have to put them into a shirt pocket or let them hang around my neck on a lanyard. Either way, I have to constantly check to see if they are still there, distracting me from the environment and recently - I barely escaped a cager who "did not see the motorcycle" because I was blinded by these glasses yet again and I did not see the cager until the very last second. If you want glasses to wear at night and have extra money to burn, these should work. But my advise is DO NOT WEAR Wylie X IN SUNLIGHT.

I had the windjackets for about two years. They lasted me a deployment and then about a year on the bike. Created a good seal for me and had no issues with them. Loved them, I had the pinkish lenses for night and really liked them. Ive had a few pairs of oakleys over there years and havent had any issues. Don't think I'll ever bother with LA lens though that's just me. Unfortunately they blew off one day when I turned my head. That'll teach me to wear them over my beanie.

I have both in transition/prescription lenses. Both get plenty dark and the Wileys still work fine after 18 months. The Oakleys fit my face far better and I much prefer the rubbery seals over the Wiley foam gaskets. I have to use the strap on the Wileys to keep them from slipping down on my nose. The Oakleys also have better periferal vision and the raindrops blow off better due to a greater wraparound. I bought 5 extra seals for both.

I have some Wiley X with the transition lenses. They don't really get quite dark enough for me in bright sunlight. I'm used to my Oakley flak jackets with polarized lenses. Much better optical quality and darker.
